Losing Weight

The first of the surprising ways of losing weight is where you can lose 5 to 10 pounds in an hour. This uses a secret trick that dancers and models use before an event to look their best. Also it takes off the weight in the abdominal area. Since science is constantly learning new things, it is good to know that this article was written April 2011.

People who need to lose weight probably do not have the best diet. So what happens is that there is a lot of waste in their intestines. You can call this waste management. Now if a person takes an enema before an event where they want to look good, this can flatten the belly a great deal. Also it is beneficial for health, besides being good for losing weight.

Animal foods have no fiber and the job of the fiber is to help to keep the intestines clean. Unprocessed plant foods have plenty of fiber. But wheat and rice are not whole grains and have had fiber taken out so they do not do a good job of keeping the intestines clean. Whole wheat and brown rice are whole grains and better for losing weight.

I used to think that foods with negative calories were a myth but I saw on The Doctors Show with several MDs on it that there are really foods like this. The calories to eat them is more than the calories that they give you. The most popular ones are carrots and celery. Note that these will also help to keep the colon clean. So when you eat these foods they actually burn calories instead of giving you calories.

Also if you eat these foods before other ones then you have less room to eat the other fattening foods. Jonny Bowden PhD, CNS is a board certified nutritionist. He has a strategy of losing weight called The Easiest Weight Loss Secret Ever ! This is from the 2009 book Bottom Line's Extreme Healing: 1,749 Innovative Treatments and Techniques from Medicine's New Frontiers.

He says "A salad before each meal can make a huge difference." He also says "Salads are natural appetite supressants." Celery and carrots are good to put in salads or to eat with a salad.

He suggests eating colorful vegetables in the salad like spinach, red peppers, carrots and red onions. Then you use extra virgin olive oil and raw apple cider vinegar on it for even better weight loss effects. He also says "Research shows that vinegar helps lower both blood sugar and insulin." Olive oil helps you lose weight and is great for cardiovascular health. It contains omega-9 essential fatty acids.

Now I have something to add to this to make it work better for Losing Weight. If you do not believe that it will help then you can just ignore it. Fruits are pre-digested and do not need to sit in the stomach for hours to be digested. Fruit, like watermelon, is mostly water so it is like drinking a liquid. So eat some fruit first on an empty stomach to help improve metabolism. It can even be grapefruit. Then wait 15 minutes before eating the salad mentioned above. This is common courtesy. Don't make the fruit wait fo other foods to digest.

This way you make sure to get some healthy and nutritious fruits and vegetables into your diet. Nowhere is it mentioned how much of the fruit and salad that you should eat. That is up to you. Also this order is much better for digestion. Then eat whatever you were planning to eat.

Joel Fuhrman M.D. says that people are starving for nutrients so that causes them to eat too much (see 90 second video below). He has treating people of serious problems (many dying with no hope) with fasting (no food for weeks) and a change of diet for over 30 years. So the above will help get more nutrient dense foods into your diet, helping you with losing weight. To learn more about losing weight, see my other hub articles under my name.
